At the onset of the pandemic, teachers were asked to teach and connect with students in a way that was unfamiliar. In an effort to support teachers during this time I created an Instruction Module for Making the Most of Distance Learning highlighting three areas: 1. Building relationships with students 2. Formative Assessment Tools 3. Digital Tool: Nearpod. This resource fostered collaboration among the staff and allowed for meaningful interactions.
This Professional Development was created alongside a team of educators: Suzy Evans, Sarah Harris, and Emma Dehner designed to guide teachers to more equitable grading practices Inspired by Joe Feldman's Book, Grading for Equity, Our goal in the first phase of the design thinking model was to empathize with teachers in their discomfort and bring them to a greater understanding of their own grading practices with the hopes of igniting positive change toward more equitable grading practices.
I created a website to host my coaching and mentoring reflections and future coaching and mentoring conversations.
